Thought it was a load of bollocks. 2hours of ad riddled strungout drama to find out it's concluded next year. Waste of time.

TV2 SUCK!!! I'm SURE they were advertising that everything will be revealed. What a load of crap! Shit I don't normally watch the stupid programme, but wife and I decided to stay up and watch it, just to see what the story was with the stupid island. End result? Wait till next season. GRRRRRR!! Had to laugh at the expendible character with the dynamite though

    My own personal theories:
The island is being used as a drug manufacturing factory. All the animals etc are there to scare/ eat anyone who trys to go inland

    or

It's an experiment to see how people react. Lord of the Flys for real. They take the kids away as they deem it to be unfair to subject them to it.

Pretty much the same as the rest of the series. The "new guy" (schoolteacher) being blown to bits was a nice (though perhaps predictable) touch.

To tell you the truth, the formulaic approach, and the pacing being slightly off (a little too pedestrian) has made the series a lot less watchable than it could be. I was reading a novel last night while 'watching' it. The novel won, most of the time.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Yeah, when Lost first started I thought "here's something different" because you have no idea whats happening... I also thought the ad's said "all will be revealed". In the next series I hope they kill off the chick who's brother died... too much drama there... you can kind of guess what will happen in the next series... drop someone down the hole in the hatch (hopefully the dilly blonde who then breaks her neck in the fall), the singer dude will get addicted to drugs again... and the Dr guy will be the hero... blah

I have watched the series hoping it would get better, but NO.
The ending was a bit hopless. Don't think I'll bother watching another series next year. Maybe if they find a motorbike in the tunnel which the chuppy boy rides, it may improve it's value.

and whats with the self professed dynamite expert choosing the worst looking peice of Dynamite to carry?!! Or am I just forgetting it's TV. Bad TV!

Unfortunately what was going to be a one series something special was popular so the money making studio has decided to extend it's life.

Unfortunately with this show more than most (Serpranos was only designed to go for one series by it's creators), this means the writers are left with a delema of having to intentially put holes in the script in order to account for the new cast members coming in next season. They also then have to come up with more storylines.

Personally I would have prefered if they'd left it as a one season wonder like it was designed to be. The storylines could have been a lot tighter knowing there was only a finite life to it. Now they're trying to drag it out indefinite.

On my scale I'd give it a 2 out of 5. Give me British comedy over Yank mellowdrama any day.

I thought it was pretty good, I've kinda got into Lost, but that ending just blows bollox. wft was that? SO many unanswered questions, and they string it out.

Biggest 'wtf' of the show is how the hell did Captain Cook land his ship there?
What I do like about the show is that it has a relistic edge to it. Most of the stuff on that *could* happen. But then they ruin is with giant polar bears etc.

I also like the way as they focus on one character for that episode, that it shows them before the flight. That's a nice touch.

but what about that well? If no one has discovered the island they're stuck on, then who/how the hell did they dig a pit that deep? I'm thinking from the people who were first stuck there, and the weird woman is left over (how she survived for 16 years..??) And what's on the other side? First thing you do when you get stuck there, is go for a walk!!

And is it just me, or is that big dude a) not loosing weight for being stuck on an island; and b) seems to be a pretty cool bloke to know..?

ditto on the teacher blowing up.. wasn't sure if it was going to happen or not..

oh well, on the hole, I quite like the show, it's different that's for sure. Just didn't like how we got shafted with the last one.
And what else is there left to run another series? I thought another 2 episodes tops..?

Yeah it started off alright... the polar bear thing was just dumb... they featured it what... once? And the thing that blows up tree's... and the crazy French chick... I think the writers have started taking the singers drugs...

Maybe they're all on drugs... might just be a bad trip

Oh did you normal people get to see it last night?? I saw it 6 or 7 weeks ago

Obviously it said sfa, but its still the best tv series I've seen this year (although desperate housewifes is good for some hot milfs). Can't wait for next series. Supposed to start filming in september from what I've heard. There was still a bit of drama, the "others" taking out the guys on the raft and they also did manage to open the hatch.

What about that guy that got toasted?? That was cool, you could so tell that was going to happen.
