My father-in-law ran the local IHC firewood crew for a number of years, I spent some time with them (about 6 weeks) it was pure madness on a scale I struggled to comprehend.

Lots of smiles from everyone though, The special needs students loved interacting with society.

well, apart from the sulking ones.

And that one guy on a double leash and two full time handlers.

And when the giant one picked me up in a bear hug and threw me around like a rag-doll.

And the one that kept on wanting to shake hands and always had dribble all over his hands.

And the one that never stopped talking, ever, never stopped,on and on and on.

And the one that smelt like pee.

well, they all smelled like pee.

The ones that smelt like poo were another story altogether.

And one interesting thing I found out, Most of them don't register the signals from their stomach that they are full, so if you don't remove the food they just keep eating, and eating, and eating, then they start throwing up, usually directly on what they are eating.

Get an entire table of that shit happening and then you know a thing or two.

Then you get to clean them up, remove the food, clean the table, the floor, wash the clothes....

ah yes, plenty of smiles all around.

    Thats the fuckin life.
