We started off with 38 bikes, one broke down and some dropped off along the way to get back into town for work and personal reasons... Not too sure how many we ended up with... Bugjuice might know...

*still hasn't cleaned the lime off my bike *

    this thread still going?!

We ended up with more than we took off with, cos some people joined in Cleavedon. We started with 38, but by a reasonable guess, at the fush n chup shop, we were 41 strong (not including UHL as he had turned back, else it would have been 42).. After then, 41 bikes started off in the same direction, and very quickly became 30 lost bikes.. (11 knew where to go)

And one buggerd off on his own down roads he didn't know but luckily he had a map with him. BTW the gorges (can't remember thier name) out by Waikino were cool, dry and completly empty. Had me some fun and I may have some new holes on the bottom of my sadlebags now.

And four too busy drinking beer in the pub and gossiping to realise the rest of the ride had left!!

Do to a slight hangover, arrived late at Kaiaua so decided to try the pub for food thinking it would be quicker then the long queue at the fish n chips shop. Ended up being a long meal and didn't get to do much socialising or bike perving.

Good seeing you again Feint. Hi ya Motobob, awesome bike, couldn't keep up with u crazy 600's! Thanks for organising the ride Bugjuice, will try and get there on time for the next ride!

I rode past that road on my own (well, not totally alone - PF would have killed me..), then saw it and turned back. Then caught up with others, then lost them again. Then got lost. Then found SH1 and headed north back home. No point trying to find 30 bikes spread out like ants

We waited to see which way you went and the headed the opposite.

I believe convention is that rides are rides till you get to the destination nominated - then it's everyone for themselves and make your own arrangements.

lol me and a few others ended up going straight... didn't even see the turn off... at the big intersection there was a bike parked on the side of the road... and I thought he was there to point the way... there were a few bikes ahead that I could see, but by the time I got over the hill I couldn't see them anymore so I just kept going until I thought "Ok no bikes ahead... no-ones overtaken me... maybe I'm lost.... I'll just pull over and wait"

Was I happy or what to see Crashe come riding up the road... then Pyrocam then Feint... lol

yeah it was funny when everyone split up. I kept going down sh2 for sh1 cos I was tired and I saw maybe 6 bikes heading for hunua and BJ heading back that way.

hey does anyone know who photo'd me on my way to get petrol? I was just wearing the red LMAO shirt + helmet

would love a new profile pic.

    Cheers
I only posted this because of the global economic crisis
