That was a fun ride, despite getting lost in Botany, then losing Pixie somewhere. So it was sprint time over Twilight road to catch up at Clevedon.
It was impressive to see so many bikes at Kaiaua, I bet the takings were well up at the Chip shop.
I'm even more impressed by these Z6's, never once slid, even on those shaded corners where you go from dry to wet at speed.
T'was nice to meet other KB'ers who've just been disembodied posts till now.

i knew i shouldnt have let that thumping ducati past me... maybe someones just biased towards 'cool' bikes unlike my rungus ZXR Awesome photos tho BD.

cheers to bugjuice for sorting this all out, probly a bit too much stress for the old*ish* bloke but someone give that man a

was awesome to see so many bikes, and as tristan said - was awesome trailing in a line of 10+ bikes through the gorges up towards BD... i need to get a tank cam because that would have been awesome on video.

Favourite part was the little ZXR crew punching it out throught the twisties holding on to the bigger bikes...

Keystone... got tristan to follow you for a bit coz you take awesome lines for us medium paced people, just pisses me off you've got that low down torque to get out of the corners at decent speed without having to change gear - ya left me behind a couple of times there, but its always fun to ride with ya

yeah the twisties were good fun...had a couple of bad lines that had me worried...but over all i think that we did well to hold the bigger boys!
It was a kick ass cruise...i had to turn around half way to Kaiaua to be back in Howick by 1pm, so i missed the rest of the ride...the ride back was alot faster tho due to the road drying out!

So that was you on the Busa. Was wondering. Ofcourse the only time I saw it was when we stopped.

Yeah that busa mmmmmmmmm *wakes up again*

Was quite funny - while going through the gorge (where Big Dave was photographing) managed to go past the bus. Not for long next straight after the gorge this beautiful sounding behemoth goes right past me in a flash... darn it.

Nice to see one in the flesh for longer than 2 seconds.

I'm sure I saw you going up the bottom of symonds st into town a couple of months ago as well!

Got a pic of your bike Qkchk at the petrol station at the begining of the ride but it came out all fuzzy and porly focused. Have to make sure I'm not moving next time.

Hey yaaaawl. Yeah shame Dave never got me a photo side on either BUT hey I'm not the only one that missed out on that privilege... only makes me more keen for the next run!!

I do remember lettin in a quacker at the start of the Gorge - figured he'd have more fun than me on those corners. Next time I might put hubby on the 'busa and I'll 'borrow' his gixer1000, then I can play in the twisties. I was a bit unsure of my front tyre in the wet conditions - had a minor tank-slap about a month ago on SH1 on a corner, so keeping my wits with me for now. It was only when I got home I bothered to check out the breed of tyres I was running (Only purchased the bike in May) To my surprise, who would put a Mich Pilot on the rear then a Brig Battlax on the front????

As for the ride - great road (except the odd patch of green slime on the 'always damp' side of the road) great company and great time.....
