    stupid TV watchers.
Preoccupied? As you say it's all happening at once and we can't, supposedly, do anything about it. It's almost as though every single situation is coordinated to keep another truth down, like running out of oil or some such other irrelevant concern.

On the upside two "primitive" tribes recently met and swapped bananas. From different cultures but poignant that one tribe has been displaced by man and his never ending search for wood and the other tribe has greeted them without slitting their throats or putting voodoo spells on them. Dipshit translation: Amazonian tribe band together to drive the world back into the 12th century.
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

    pffft Fukushima

Never mind the land that is dying due to PH levels elevated with phosphate. The (food) animals that are growing tumors for no known reasons. The reason why bee populations have decreased by 90% in the last 50 years. The birds mass dying. The unexplained sounds that are happening. The global financial system which has a collective sum of -45% value.......and 1000's of other issues which no one cares about.

Glow in the dark fish is the least of out problems. We are fucked in every circumstance in 50 generations. Even if we stop what we are doing right now and be good for now on. There is no backup plan without finding another planet with life.
50 generations and we are done - regardless of what we do.

The age of man will be done in 1 million years. Earth will no longer sustain our life. And that is the positive estimate........the actual estimate is far worse (50 generations or 5,000 years)

I think you will find most "culture" has become "society" sadly. So even your precious abo's buy food (/drink) and don't live in the dream time anymore.
I did hear of an Amazonian tribe which was still traditional even though the birds got bigger and become "made of metal". But now we are on this roller coaster of doom (white man or otherwise) we are doing so as a melting pot of stupid people.

Also there wont be cave walls. This whole place will be cut open in that time. Even after the black man has claimed it back to sell the resources.

So racial discrepancies don't really mean a damn anymore.
We are all white men, or wannabe white men now. Even the women are working and taken the white men's jobs. I fail to see a trend in any other direction.
Even "earthship"s are made with tyres........so the greenies gonna complain when we make hover cars.

Have you read "Mutant Message down under", By Marlo Morgan? If not have a squizz, it talks in great detail about your "flock of abos" chilling and watching.

Oh fuck off. It might be terribly fashionable to blame everyone for everything but it's tiresome bullshit, and it doesn't get any more true for the mindless repetition.

Nah not fashionable - sadly its the fact that we know more (and understand less, as it commonly found with knowing more).
As for the perspective. I'm positive enough living in the now. Life is good and will continue to be good. My only concern is the future generations..........and how badly I have fucked them by enjoying now so much.

As for that link. I call bullshit on a few of those. It doesn't change my perspective, as I mentioned I am positive for what I have right now. But its very easy to say life is better because we don't need kerosene lamps.......... but we also spend about 30% less time with out kids due to having increased ability to work. So swings and roundabouts.
When I see people needing to sign up for 40 year mortgages to buy a house......I wonder if the grass really is greener, or the people who say that had life changes up while others went down.

Musical chairs if you will. I certainly know my sins for being able to have a comfortable life. I have balanced most of them with good gestures. But I know I could have done more.

Wrong, more knowledge does not equate to understanding less.

And no, that tiresome wee rant would not have been positive from a destitute third-world subsistence farmer, from a member of the world's top 5% income earners it's obscene.

You're correct about future generations, first world, they'll fuck it up because they've been stupidly sheltered from the consequences of their behaviour. Bad parenting.

Kerosene lamps is what you got from that article? What about the extra decade of life? What about the 400% reduction in infant mortality? Avgas must try harder with comprehension.

Not greener? What fucking planet are you on? NZ houses cost twice what they did a generation ago because they're more than twice the size and full of expensive shit your granddad couldn't have afforded even if it were available then.

If you regret you haven't done more with what chances you've had then I can only suggest that you've got more to come yet. I also suggest you could probably spend some of it to good effect by enumerating the benefits you enjoy compared to every other human ever to have walked the earth under your feet. Then you can explain to your kids what it takes to maintain that quality of life, 'cause there's every indication that they haven't got a fucking clue.
