So - the US reserves the right to invade The Netherlands.........didn't see this in the news.......

......It was not long, however, before the public mood in Europe began to turn. A pivotal factor was openly voiced U.S. threats in a law that had been passed by both the House of Representatives and the Senate of the U.S. Congress that could eventually result in an invasion of the Netherlands by United States army forces. http://www.spiegel.de/politik/ausland/internationales-strafgericht-us-kongress-droht-niederlanden-mit-invasion-a-200430.html

When this was learned outrage was expressed not only within the Dutch government, but also among the population of the country. According to the law, if it should ever happen that American citizens are brought before the International Criminal Court (ICC) and accused at The Hague, Washington would exercise the preemptive right to invade the country in order to prevent prosecution.

Remember that Malaysia’s government had permitted a tribunal in 2011, whose judges in the tradition of British court proceedings condemned both George W. Bush and Tony Blair as war criminals. http://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/opi...712109215.html
Some Europeans are asking if there could be a connection between the ruling of this tribunal and the loss of two Malaysian airliners.

bwaaaaaaaha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaa... where the fuck do you dig up such shite? NEWS FLASH: Humans respond to the information that they have at their disposal.

The example used: "Abstract: In this paper, we address the often contentious debate over state and local recycling policy by carefully estimating the social net benefit of curbside recycling. Benefits are estimated using household survey data from over 4,000 households across 40 western U.S. cities" and then a decision is made on the social benefits of curbside recycling for the entire country? WTF have you guys been smoking?

You can argue tree huggy fear mongering all you like, but their are environmental issues that need to be addressed for future generations. Mental? Nah.
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

Interesting stuff, seems plausible in many cases. Overall though, I'd think no matter the motivation, a lot of environmentalism is for the good.

It is. Unfortunately, rather a large amount of environmentalism as attempted to be practiced by most environmentalists is ill conceived crap.

A natural forest is in equilibrium and has been since adam was a lad
A system will always try towards equilibrium thats a fact . A trueism

Another fact is that you cannot pump energy into a closed system without a consequence

So if you turn the air conditionioner on at some point along the chain a consequence will appear

Question is how do we minimize the consequences

The problem is when certain types use "environmentalism" as a means to control your ass

There won't be a revolution. All the great minds will simply disappear.
Last country to have a revolution and succeed was Ukraine.......look where they are now?
The world is watching and learning that there is no point fighting the government - now you simply plan your exit from them and leave them.
25% of NZ understands this - If you include the ones who begrudgingly voted.....I estimate that 50% of NZ doesn't care anymore. That figure could be much higher.
In the US the figures are about the same.

The only way a revolution will happen in a 1st world, is if that 50% of the population gets backed into a corner. This will never happen.
We have the perception of freedom and that is enough for most.
