    An ode to Akzle.

Nun in a taxi .... an ode to Akzle.

A cabbie picks up a Nun. She gets into the cab, and notices that the VERY handsome cab driver won't stop staring at her. She asks him why he is staring.

He replies: 'I have a question to ask you but I don't want to offend you.'

She answers, 'My son, you cannot offend me. When you're as old as I am and have been a nun as long as I have, you get a chance to see and hear just about everything.

I'm sure that there's nothing you could say ask or do that I would find offensive.'

'Well, I've always had a fantasy to have a nun kiss me.'

She responds, 'Well, let's see what we can do about that: #1, you have to be single and #2, you must be Catholic.'

The cab driver is very excited and says, 'Yes, I'm single and Catholic!'

'OK' the nun says. 'Pull into the next alley.'

The nun fulfills his fantasy, with a kiss that would make a hooker blush.

But when they get back on the road, the cab driver starts crying.

'My dear child,' says the nun, 'why are you crying?'

'Forgive me but I've sinned. I lied and I must Confess, I'm married and I'm Jewish.'

The nun says, 'That's OK. My name is Akzle and I'm going to a Halloween Party.' ....

The pen only works while people are willing to obey it, so really the pen only works while the sword is not being used

General Petraeus in his own words

    http://www.cbc.ca/m/news/politics/da...vacy-1.2820197

"The general thrust of this always has to be, again, to strike that proper balance between taking measures that, at the end of the day, are in some cases intrusive, that is what surveillance is all about after all, and yet allow the freedoms as much as is absolutely possible, to the citizens of a country that prides those freedoms greatly," he said.

    nothing much has changed since

    http://www.newstalkzb.co.nz/opinion/...vYJxE.facebook

This is something the Prime Minister needs to clearly explain when he makes his speech on Wednesday.

Yet it appears such a level of detail may not be forthcoming. When asked this weekend if direct threat evidence would be presented, Mr Key signalled that would be unlikely. Unfortunately this level of disclosure is in line with the attitude displayed by our authorities on the nature and scope of the foreign fighter problem.

So far neither the SIS or the Department of Internal Affairs have released the sort of information that would allow the public to gauge how many Kiwis have sought to fight for terrorist groups, and how many of them have had their passports revoked.

    This is not good enough.

Any Government that seeks to curtail a fundamental freedom like the freedom of movement must give, not only clear reasons for its actions, but also specific and comprehensive evidence to back its case. A government’s de facto position should be to protect personal freedoms and civil liberties, not limit them.

Someone who today would be considered a terrorist and a prime candidate for an indefinite stay at guantanamo bay once said this: Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

But then dear Leader is not giving up his essential Liberties, as he believes, and rightly so, that his status and money will always buy him some liberties. It is our Liberties that he is happy curtailing.
