Can't disagree with that, but the idea that if a chick is drunk and what seems like a good idea the night before, is actually a mistake the next morning...*that's* rape now?

How come being pissed is a "defence" for the female ie "too drunk to give consent" but not for the male? How far would "we were both pissed and I wouldn't have shagged her sober" go as a defence against a rape charge for a bloke?

Being boozed up is not a defense. Rape is rape. Yup, unfortunately it can be as easy as saying "I said no and so I was raped" with someone ending up doing time for something they didn't do.

If no consent is given, then the rapist shouldn't have started. I guess one can only hope you get a decent judge, in the man's case, likely like the judge in the case mentioned. Tis a minefield. In order to avoid such a minefield, keep yer dick in yer undies.

Sounds like a fuckin nightmare. I've read a bit about honey traps where girls will pick up fellas who they know have money, then blackmail them with going to the police the following morning and crying rape. It's gotten to a stage where guys are starting to record themselves when rejecting the women, coz they know that they don't even have to stick their dick in 'em to face the accusation. I'm sure one of the vids was posted on KB somewhere and it was a pretty sobering watch.

May I suggest that if you do happen to find a woman like that, rather than treating her like a slut and taking advantage of that situation, walk away.
You preach a lot about how fucked up the world is, why not make a stand and lead by example? Maybe then we could start to get somewhere as a society.

Hmm - if a man is that drunk he can't give consent then I suspect that brewers drop would also make rape impossible ... just sayin' ...
