My brother and I flew to Wellington and back from Christchurch last Monday - he has phony knees - security checked him thoroughly both ways!

I simply walked through both ways at the same time and they never checked me at all - had cell phone and loose change etc - nothing!

I wondered what all the fuss was about - getting out of touch with these things!

Didn't know it was that bad (or that slack) for internal flights - I could have a bomb or weapon on me who would have known?

Still - it was quite reassuring - knowing that everybody else on board was clean!
