do you actually read those links.

    first one, the funding:

INET was founded with an initial pledge of $50 million from George Soros. It has since been supplemented by donations from James Balsillie and William H. Janeway, together with other philanthropists and financiers, including Paul Volcker, David Rockefeller, the Malcolm Hewitt Wiener Foundation, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the Carnegie Corporation of New York, and Stiftung Mercator.

But IF you would like to go into prosperity , im more than willing .....

Secondly the very good excel sheet you provided , very good I might add ... but Im not sure you either A; read it or B; understood it

from that data range if you graph the data , ( simply cut paste , graph ) ...you get

Funding wasn't on any link I posted. The source of the xls is the University of Groningen, if they've got funding streams for economic research from economic entities it's difficult to see why that might surprise you.

And I did go into prosperity. I posted this, if you recall: http://ourworldindata.org/wp-content..._maddison.html

Got the hang of all dem button at the top have you? What did they reveal about historic prosperity worldwide?

Fucking booming is a term that springs to mind. It probably wouldn't spring quite as readily, though if I was an entrenched socialist desperate to believe that capitalism has ruined everyone's standard of living. But then, that'd be due to exhaustion from all that jumping to conclusions and running around avoiding falling skies etc.

Incorrect, the straight line poorly fitting was brought up by you and mashy as a strawman argument to show how outliers are taken out.

Oh come on, now that you've read the article you proceed to attack those involved in its writing?

Relative GDP is utterly irrelevant to the point about absolute poverty and prosperity. It's just negative nit-picking. NZ's prosperity is still rising, it just isn't rising as fast as some other countries, which will of course, always be the case. So this is the important bit, if you only respond to one point, it should be this one. But if you've room for another piece of advice to take on board, make more of an effort to communicate your ideas, the graph was terrible, as was the structure of your posts.

I said nothing about a straight line... I merely pointed out that you don't understand how these things actually work in reality.

You said the outlier bit, brian said the straight line bit. You made the claim about 'reality', but only managed to showed the opposite; or have you read and identified the bit where the outliers are dropped from the study posted to share with the class?

You used an organisation funded by George Soros as an example :faceplant ... like quoting from Mr Hitlers best seller ....Mein comfy chair to back up your race relation stance .......

I then used YOUR DATA from said uni, that showed the GDP for ( an example ) GDP was going down

if anyone hasnt the hang of the internet , or is entrenched , It might be worth looking in the mirror
    ......
Using Soros as a source , is like trusting me with your beer ,

and dont even try and go down the capitalist path , u still haven’t answered the question on socialism yet ....

Nice try , you ARE improving with the links and info you provide ....but ...

Incorrect, Hitler wrote that book himeself, wheras George Soros has simply given funding to the Uni that wrote the report. These things are miles apart.

You did not show GDP was going down at all.

Fuck that's a pathetic cop out. The structure and wording as as weak as the excuse.

You went to the time to fabricate an extremely biased graph to show or at least imply (I can't tell which cos your grasp of words is shit) our GDP was decreasing when it is doing nothing of the sort. Now when called on it, you have to find some cop out instead of facing reality; which is rather more positive than you make it out to be.

You do know that doesn't get him the right to fuck with research data, doncha? Or do you have evidence of nefarious activities in the data stacks?

Oh, and exactly which bit of that data did you extract from the spreadsheet to get your graph? Must have take a fucking while to find a downward trend from a complete set showing almost exclusively the opposite.

It takes a whole lot more than one billionaire's conscience being pricked to make a real difference to world poverty.

Imagine if every one of the money hungry fucks did the same.
