Pol Pot was not a Marxist ... some kind of strange Asian revolutionary - but never a Marxist .. Maybe a Stalinist, or just another brutal dictator - but never a Marxist.

No-one has ever put Marx' ideas into practice - and if you truly understand historic materialism, then you don't need to put Marx' ideas into practice - according to Marx it will happen according to the historic processes.

And we are not living in a Marxist Society - whatever gave you that idea? A capitalist democracy - or maybe democratic capitalism .. but not even close to a socialist or a communist society - and not even close to the dictatorship of the proletariat, which was Marx' goal - not a socialist or communist state - they are only stages a society goes through to reach the ultimate goal - no government.
