    Did anyone ever see Into Iceland's Volcano? With the scientist (can get his name if need be) that stutters and stammers as he realises that their models are waaaaaaaaay too simple?

    Anyhoo... if they can get an Earth based model wrong, one that has been studied using direct observation for decades. What makes you think they can accurately calculate how old the Earth is with any great certainty, let alone say there were only 2 moons and not 4? What is the margin of error, when you're talking about billions of years? Just saying is all. I stood on the shoulders of giants, and added 2.
    The age of the earth was calculated in the Bible,everyone was happy enough with that till that Galliano bloke came along. 6 days to make the whoe shabang.

    DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

    @advanced.

    @wtf would you know.
    Of that list only clueless whiney arsed bastards may be unsustainable, hard to be sure 'cause nobody, but nobody gives a fuck about them. The rest are improvements, and improvements over such long terms that the trend isn't a bubble. So you're wrong. Demonstrably. Again.

    Advanced is the correct term for a system producing historically unprecedented improvements.

    And given that you can only answer perfectly valid criticism of your nasty, misanthropic world view with vacuous smileys I'd say they're smack on target.

    Not hard to spot the ones just barely successful enough to survive, just look for outfits with low standards of living: China, North Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, Laos....

    I found this to be a great read. Pretty much summed up in the last paragraph.

    That's clearly what 'the man' wants you to think just like 'the man' wants you to spell the name of it right in order to effectively communicate its existence

    "I asked him what he thought of Auroville.

    “That place,” he waved his hand at the ground. “They’re all looking to be cured. The ones who are cured, they leave. The rest, they’re stuck.”

    “Cured of what?” I asked.

    “That,” he responded, “is the question.”"

    But, it does sound like mashy should go there regardless.

    Holy post dredge. I remember roaring with laughter when writing that post. And for the sake of bogan clarity, yes, the roaring laughter was outside of my head and emanated from my gob.

    Earth Overshoot Day came and went on August 8th. So you're stupid. Demonstrably. Again.

    It's A term.

    Dats coz you're the one claiming what my world view is, not me... and your ASSumptions make me laugh, primarily as you're criticising yourself. So, mr one world view, myopicman, you're stupid. Demonstrably. Again.

    Forced into another world view. Auroraville is quiet? in what way? Oooo, hang on though, before I hear what you have to say, let me project. You mean they're not forcing people to follow their world view.

    What's that, yet another bunch of misanthropic losers claiming we can't do what we clearly can?

    And, in spite of your claims to the contrary it's the correct term.

    Oh no, you've made your world view abundantly clear many times, and that's exactly what I'm criticising. Mostly because it's ugly, but also because it's wrong.

    bwaaaaaaaaa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaaa.

    It's A correct term.

    If I had have, then we wouldn't be having this little chinwag. You are incapable of grasping my world view, because you cling so dearly to your own. Not hard to fathom.

    Correct, then.

    Correct again.

    No, I know exactly what you're world view is, you want others to pay for your shit. Not hard to fathom at all. But, y'know, as usual: get fucked.

    Forced? they were left behind, so chose to leave the non-capitalist ways behind (sometimes violently); in many instances it was a clear case of people triumphing over TPTB to bring in capitalism and democracy. The people have chosen, they continue to choose; and they will continue to choose capitalism as it is the correct way to an RBE.

    No, I mean they are quiet in two ways, one being you spelt the fucking name wrong so they can't be too big on your radar, two being they are not self promoting. Religious cults and spiritual retreats come and go all the time, they are not the way forward due to their lack of sustainability (tithing for newbies).

    I never said they were.

    It is not in the way of an RBE at all. On the contrary, capitalism encourages more efficient ways of getting things done. Were a Utopian RBE viable, it would emerge quite comfortably from within a capitalist society. The whole idea of an RBE is that we can have all we want/need simply by sharing production. You could share production with the other 100 stupid worlders (or whatever your latest claim is that you've convinced), yet instead of being the change you wish to see, you make a bunch of these piss weak excuses. fuck off to auroville and get some self-reflection in ya.

    When I said in the way, I meant it from the perspective of budget constraint and the lack of ability to move towards technological unemployment without the fear of crashing the economy due to budget constraint. In other words, we can't implement tech to put people out of a job because the economy can't handle too much unemployment. I am being the change, ya know, running for Mayor etc... @reflection. You are incapable of such given your view that the change can only happen in one way. Sad in a really really funny kind of way, but sad nonetheless.
