Capitalism... it really can't be much more stupid. Quick, create more money or take it from a few groups who can't shout as loud and give it to the people driving the buses so they'll go back to work... you know, automate accounting or something. Suspend the drivers and let them feel what it's like to be hit in the pocket eh eh eh... the government will likely provide relief for the business owners who are being rained on., just like they do the farmers, so we can't lose. and yet the drivers continued to drive for free. The business stopped that though, coz they don't care who they inconvenience... which is why they don't pay wages in line with cost of living increases knowing full well that this would happen. Likely hoping to drive the value of drivers down even further... or given the way the market is going, they'll score some dodgy drivers at nice prices as they tender the work. All so predictable. But yeah, blame the guy who actually does the work for pointing out that they're not getting paid enough to do the work

... stupid cunts with an agenda, usually more money for ME, do that sort of thing.

Imagine if someone told you you have to freeze the rent on your properties and someone said

stupid landlord buys house knowing the rental rate, & wahh's about having no money to pay mortgage as he cant increase his rent to allow for improvements of inflation or cost of living..

I remember the 'wage freeze', meant you had to change companies to get a pay increase, it was a tradie merry go round.
Went from $7.50 to over $10.00 ( and a Ford Escort van) in a matter of months. Only to find a year later you could get $15 in Sydney.
Some of my work mates went on to 'Think Big" projects such as Glenbrook, Marsden Pt and Huntly Power Station but easy come easy go saw much of that 'invested' in what soon became worthless shares.
I dabble in the share market but working in Corporate I find the financial a bit smoke and mirrors.
