On a side note. Despite the swirl of reporting on teh internets I'm really surprised their is absolutely no reporting of front line actions, artillery or armour engagements.
No reports from the Red Cross or other aid organisations listing casualties beyond what has officially been released by the Ukrainian gummint. Ukrainian forces are said to be 160'000 strong with heavy armour and artillery divisions. Russia seems to have reached Kiev almost unopposed.
Ukrainian civilians fleeing conflict areas seem to have no problem vlogging their plight but nothing of note is popping up from within conflict areas.
This is a bit weird.
So is Imran Khans visit to have a chat with Putin in the midst of the invasion.

The UN was never going to do anything ,as its only takes one of the security council (ie Russa)to veto intervention or even a denunciation.
The USA has used this vto before as well (well pretty sure they did with Iraq)
No superpower is going to step in against another superpower if both have nukes it a no-win all lose.
If they Nato or the US or anyone really wanted to protect the Ukraine, they would have given them nukes to protect themselves which would have assured Russia it would lose also
The same will happen eventually with Taiwan and any other place China decides it wants.
No sanction are going to be effective as they will be able to rape Ukraine and its people assets any sanctions will hurt the poor more than the oligarchy.

A Turkish flagged bulk ship has received a rocket/missile strike on top hatch. That could complicate things....
Putin is smart he has learned from his own forces and American previous mistakes. Putting too many ground forces in early without securing resupply lines from resistance attacks would be foolish when there is a well armed populace capable of armed resistance.
You can see his goal is to force a refugee crisis on neighbouring countries (thanks George Soros for that lesson) which leaves only true believers behind in Ukraine that will be loyal to a new regime. The bonus of that is it makes it difficult for any nato response to operate in such a crowded environment... who is a refugee and who is a potential armed separatist?
So all he needs to do is shock and awe but I think heavy gear is rolling in to properly secure airports and other infrastructure its just that the pics arent getting out.
