There is now demand, but sure, from that company's point of view they're doing a service that's almost 50 years too late... something that capitalism created, and then recognised that it couldn't afford to do anything about it and the mess gets left as externalities that someone can hopefully make a buck off in order to try to start to cleanup the problem.

It doesn't only apply to the military. The Governor of Florida declared war on Disney, the states biggest employer, because they wouldn't support his "Don't say gay" policy. They didn't actually oppose him, they just basically said they weren't interested in the sexual preferences of their staff.
He has implemented a series of policies and law changes to disadvantage Disney but they have so far out thought him. (Of course they have better lawyers.). Disney were to build a big campus in Florida to house 1000 of their 'imagineers'. Average pay about $US120,000 pa. About 120 million per year in wages alone. Disney have announced the project will now remain in California.
If the Governor seems a bit weird, check out his wife. I'm not the expert, but she seems to be wearing evening dress in the day time. Full length capes and elbow length white gloves?

'The whole thing stinks': UK water forms to pay (GBP)15 billion to shareholders as customers foot sewage bill.... Capitalism works...

Looking forward to privatisation of water resources in this country now that Three Waters has been stopped, largely due to protests from local bodies even though they will be the ones on the hook for massive expenditure in water infrastructure repairs and improvements after decades of neglect. Councils will see selling off the water as the only way out, and there will be no shortage of foreign capital/ownership waiting to snap it up. Auckland under Wayne Brown will be probably first to go.

A major public corporation (like Disney) must maximise it's profit by juggling and optimising the requirements of it's shareholders, it's customers, and it's staff... Basic Capitalism!
The Governor of Florida is Just trying to impress Trump's hard MAGA base, in order to trump Trump in the republican primary race. To Hell with any other criteria!

Three waters (actually called six waters because they added in rain and foreshore/seabed by stealth and number six was them pissing on you and telling you it’s raining) hasn’t gone away they just rebranded it.
In true Orwellian doublespeak it’s now called affordable water or something like that. And the co-governance debacle has stopped 50% of it being privatised into maori ownership.
Well for now anyway...who knows what the election will bring...
Every great cause begins as a movement, becomes a business, and eventually degenerates into a racket - Eric Hoffer
The original "Three waters" was copying what happened in Scotland and which is widely considered to be a success. So we had inbred yokels protesting with uniform professionally produced signage, almost as if they were being manipulated by someone else behind the scenes. It was probably the "co-governence" that fired up the racist rednecks.
Meanwhile we have councils happy to sell their water to China for a song, comfortably cruising to their next disease outbreak, or hoping that something won't break that they can't afford to fix.

consider the example of Mangawhai, where the council took on (illegal) loans to pay for a massive water infrastructure upgrade in order to cope with the summertime influx of holiday makers, while the few permanent residents were stuck with huge rates increases. Now imagine the costs of upgrading a major city and the rates increases that would have to be applied - sure defeat looms for the council that tries this, so they look at the next option - sell off the water. Incidentally Three Waters contained provision for preventing this. The councils (mainly Auck and ChCh) protested mightily against TW, maybe because it would have prevented the sell off?
