Oh dear the timing couldn’t be worse on this problem…

It seems Britains off shore wind farms are screwing up the nations air defence radars.

Suella Braverman the British Home Secretary who recently pronounced that being homeless was a lifestyle choice, I do not like. Jonathan Pie, though I do like.

What the Dodge????
https://www.motor1.com/news/694976/r...-extender/amp/
From the only in America files. Dodges new EV ram is the opposite of a hybrid. It’s primarily an EV but has an optional range extender package which is an onboard 3.6L V6 engine with a 27 gallon fuel tank that is solely connected to an electrical generator.
Its ace card is that it can fast charge itself in 10mins running the petrol generator while you sit at side of road scrolling Fakebook or something.
And it can boogie HP wise as generator can supply extra angry pixies alongside the batteries efforts.
But it’s complete insanity if you want to think about any kind of logical efficiency of resources and long term maintenance costs…
You have to wonder if they are doing it in jest/cheekiness or stupidity…???
I can’t wait til we see footage of one of these in thermal runaway with a full tank of gas on board lol

Thanks for bringing that to our attention. It seems with usual Japanese efficiency they e implemented the idea with a bit more common sense.
Although in “petrol” mode it’s using 9L per 100km which is disssppointing as the new Mazda 6 with sky active engine is getting near or better than motorcycle fuel economy.
I wonder if this is how govts and companies will skirt around the impracticality of a full ev world.
It’s still introducing a secondary manufacturing and complexity issue, more build resources etc
Time will tell how it all plays out..,,

The things people will pay money for….

Story in stuff about kid starting successful business. After a bit of googling yep there’s a rich mum or dad in background with rich friends to help things get started “ but anyone can do it”….
So next time you have Dante’s inferno in mancave with spilt petrol don’t throw away that used extinguisher. Print a high end brand name on it and its “art”.

A nineteen year old male seeking Internet glory dreamed up a "prank" whereby he assaulted random strangers in a park. His friend filmed it and they uploaded it to TikTok. He's now looking at fifteen years in the big house.

Another dude with a similar modus operandi ended up getting shot. Initially the shooter was going to be prosecuted but the prankster ended up in the dock.
I was listening to a podcast by a Scottish musician the other day and he recounted how he was bailed up in a Glasgow park by a teen with a kitchen knife wanting his money and phone. His response was to chase him around the park and give him a bit of boot.
I'm amazed "Mr Everyone Makes Mistakes" didn't get a good hiding off someone.

This is priceless coming straight from YouTube itself lol

It seems like some don’t understand how democracy, govt and law works.
https://i.stuff.co.nz/national/polit...ament-restarts
You can’t on one hand hold sacred an agreement reached with the crown/colonialists then on the other hand say “no allegiance to the genocidal legacy of the British Empire.
“There is no honour in the Crown. It is tainted with the blood of indigenous nations, and its throne sits at the apex of global white supremacy.”
I suspect they will have no problem
swearing allegiance next time their in a coalition with labour and need to go to the governor general for approval to form a govt.
You’re either a functioning participant in democracy or not. You can’t be half in half out and throwing a tantrum when there’s ideas you don’t like. The original title of the protest says it all really. Stuff must be desperate to restore journalistic credibility by reporting that instead of quietly deleting that bit.
Someone should remind them that even us pakeha are still legal subjects of the British commonwealth and abide by their laws and decrees(governor general has to approve all our laws) even if we disagree with royals behaviour or policies.
And anyone who’s been to Britain will tell you it has to be one the most racially and culturally diverse countries in western world. To say it’s a centre of white supremacy is joke of week.

Shane Jones seems last straight talking man out there. Packer of course doesn’t like what he says and try’s to call him a bully. Typical lefty response. I fail to see where he used threat of harm or anything else. And who would know that the image of two pistols is “ just modern cultural art”.
I think the sublteness of Jones Sinn Fein line is completely lost on the target

The Maori thing is complex, and cannot be assigned to the left wing basket imo. some things certainly amount to aparthied, but it is really hazy because of the past, and some of it quite recent.
What is spectacularly stupid is to go after Maori rights right at the beginning of their cycle in power - like REALLY stupid. These protests are just starting, they will get much rowdier and louder.
The morons should have waited until at least their 2nd term.
Morons.
