But seeing as you decided to say about lies, Tell us about when you posted about all these covid cures with hydroxychloroquine also how mask wearing was a conspiracy how there no chance of dying from covid etc etc etc etc etc....

Or this virus turns out to be as nasty as they say it is. Then we have at least three years living under full blown communism to control spread til it naturally mutates itself out of existence as all virus strains do. This will be a major worldwide depression and everyone will be off to workcamps in exchange for food as all western economies will be crippled by the early welfare dolled out to “keep the economy going”
One thing Is for sure either way, given the chance of a crisis govt will pass new laws and taxes to “save us”.... next election will be very interesting

    Deja vu all over again?

Nimrata Randhawa better known now as Nikki Haley is doing quite well in the polls so suddenly her eligibility to run for president is being called into question. This is straight out of the play book Trump tried to use against Obama. The "news" is being circulated that she was not actually born in the USA. Her parents are from India but she was born in South Carolina.

Interestingly she has previously campaigned for the repealing of birthright citizenship. The very mechanism that made her a citizen. Talk about pulling the ladder up behind you.

There is an amazing story taking place in Britain. For some thirty years this has been going on with no discernible action by the politicians responsible, and all major political parties have been involved. A recent docu drama on TV has boosted interest to the point something may actually be done, although it will be too late for many.

In the 1990s the Post Office purchased a new accounting system, Horizon, from Fujitsu. Almost immediately the system indicated financial discrepancies. The Brit Post Office has it's own prosecution service dating back to the days of the Royal Mail. The prosecutors attacked their work with a will. Seven hundred Post Office staff were prosecuted for theft, many were jailed, others went bankrupt from legal expenses, four committed suicide. This was all the result of a glitch in the software. Independent people were telling the politicians there must be a problem but they didn't understand software and weren't interested. Most politicians are known to be disinterested in computers or software. To make it worse Fujitsu became aware of the problem but said nothing.

This is now thought to be the biggest miscarriage of justice in British judicial history but nobody is accountable. With a few notable exceptions, such as Private Eye, media organisations have shown little interest - until now when it has appeared on TV.

One woman, responsible for the Post Office for part of the time this has been going on, was given a CBE. There is a petition with over a million signatures demanding the honour be withdrawn.

There is currently a shit ton of comment in the Brit press and on YouTube and elsewhere, fill your boots.

Afterthought: When watching the various political figures discussing this be aware that most are blaming people from a different party. Labour, Conservative, and the Lib Dems, all have politicians who are culpable. Some speakers though will attribute blame to people who were not actually involved. This story is never the less a lesson to all politicians wherever they are.

Drug prices in the USA tend to be very high, often double what they are in Canada. Florida has announced a plan to buy their drugs from Canada. The industry has announced that they will fight this. The companies have cause to be optimistic, they are among the biggest donors to politicians in the US.

After 46 million in legal costs the group were left with only £12million, which totalled around £20,000 each, far less than some had lost. They should have been awarded costs as well.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

That may be the case but the problem in the US is basically unbridled profiteering. There was the case of the notorious Martin Shkreli and his 5000% price increase. The maunfcturerers of insulin introduced massive price increases which lead to people rationing their insulin - fatally. The manufacturer of Epi Pens is another example, big price increases and the pens apparently only come packaged in pairs so you have to buy two.

Some Americans who live near the Canadian border will get their prescriptions filled in Canada, they may also enjoy a Cuban cigar while there.

In Britain the match of the day is the blame game. As already suggested some of those casting stones live in glass houses.

The Post Office says they will compensate the victims of injustice but they have also employed one of the highest priced lawfirms in London to fight every case.

Since the problem with the Fujitsu software became apparent about five years ago, Fujitsu have been awarded further government contracts worth almost four billion quid.
    Good luck with that.

Saw this item and thought we had another Mayor Brown, but no. The letter was in reply to a sovereign citizen. Apparently we have a growing number of these deluded twats in this country. I first became aware of the local variant during the protest at Parliament. They were claiming they could park indefinitely wherever they liked because of Admiralty Law.

    https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/301...-go-f-yourself

So I'm sympathetic to the mayor, although he can't compete with the letter writing creativity of then Governor Arnold Schwartzenegger. Ernie wrote a reply in which the first letter of each line read:

    F
    U
    C
    K

    Y
    O
    U

Haven't read this up so my details are sparse. Texas installed traps in the river comprised of drums and razor wire with the intention of seriously damaging or drowning people trying to cross the border. This was appealed to the Supreme Court. That Republican super majority Supreme Court, which has now ruled the traps are illegal.

Republicans are feeling utterly betrayed and are crying in their beer. It's a good day.

Florida is where woke goes to die sayeth Governor DeSantis. He went to war with Disney over their policy that their staff had a right to privacy. He went to war with Budweiser when they put out an ad featuring a trans person.

In his withdrawal speech he incorrectly attributed a quote to Churchill. The quote was actually from an old Budweiser ad.
