One for the history books. The Republicans held a vote to impeach Secretary Mayorkas(?), Secretary of Homeland Security. They said he hasn't been doing his job as too many illegals were crossing the border. Some irony is apparent as this current congress has done very little work themselves. I did read that in the history of the US only one congress has done less. Whatever, they haven't done much.
They didn't do much in this instance either. Four Republicans voted with the Democrats and the motion was lost.
How embarrassing.

This has to take the cake. A cop places a guy in the police car in cuffs and restrained. An acorn falls on the car and the cop confuses the sound with a gunshot from the car. He falls to the ground claims he is shot and empties his pistol into the car. His partner hearing the commotion empties her pistol into the car. None of bullets from either cop hits the prisoner. They should both be fired for shite marksmanship. Talk about spray and pray... The cop who mistook the acorn for a gun shot has resigned.

That's even more stupid than the cop who placed a woman suspect in a police car parked on a railway track.

There’s another new one too where cop empties mag through windscreen after woman runs him over. Also a spray and pray job as after she escapes and gets in a traffic collision up road she does not appear to be bleeding.
Donut Operator (ex cop) did a good breakdown too about the now common practice of shooting from inside the car at crims through one windscreen. Apparently it’s quite unhealthy due to micro glass shards getting in lungs and eyes but I guess that’s a little bit better than being dead.
I’m gonna have to watch the acorn job though at first I skipped as just thought it was another overkill job

I love Donut's breakdowns of cop shooting. He typically pulls no punches, especially when it comes to cross-fire instances or just poor training fullstop.
From his 'raw' channel.
Suspects brother states - "He’s a good guy. They can’t tell me he had a machete and tried to cut people throat," said Wilkinson Alexis, the suspect's brother. "Nah, he ain’t like that."
He said his brother struggled with his mental health, and he doesn't believe what police are saying about the incident is true.
"They’re lying. Just be real about (it)... say you killed someone," Wilkinson Alexis said.
Just seen on Xitter. Alex Navalney died following a COVID vaccination. That’s even crazier than the usual anti vax bollox.

Hehe I thought the other day of posting that as a joke cover the Russians might use. Russian prisons are brutal places though so either way it will be hard to prove what actually happened unless you were there.
And we have pages of quotes here saying one cannot contest a govts covid stats. If someone died and they were covid positive that’s a covid death, it’s in black and white record with our mainstream media. In fact the WHO is prob calling for a ceasefire so they can send Russia some new vaccines incase it’s a new variant.
Its pure conspiracy theory to allege navalny died any other way
On a side note isn’t it convenient that the world waited til after the pandemic before plunging into WW1 style trench warfare where sanitation and disease control would be very difficult.
Anyway while we are talking Russia this Carlson clip has a real kicker half way through comparing our society to what was happening before the Bolshevik revolution

Boom!!! Called it like about ten years ago. This is why I’ve always hated QR codes and before that tiny url links. You can’t see the address your device is navigating to. Finally scammers are in on it.

I've never seen a QR code on a parking building and can't imagine using it if I did. Having said that I used a QR code yesterday - first time in a while. It told me the month and year the whisky was bottled, the batch number, the number of bottles in the batch, and which bottle mine was within that. I only wanted to know the year but OK...
