Property values in this country have been rising since the time you could buy enough land to build a town for a few blankets & muskets.

which is fine if wage keep up ( house about 30% OF income ) , if not then people tend to use said muskets and blankets

Sttopid short sightedness but understandable if the house is the main form of wealth generation
