We offered to pay for the Aussie frigates with small patrol craft made in NZ, which would have been a great boon to the local boat building industry and saved the taxpayer a huge wad of cash.

But Helen scuppered the idea, wouldn't have NZ producing the tools of war.

Or much of anything else for that matter.

Turns out the waters not too good in places and the land is feeling things a tad, and with Tech Unemployment knocking on the door production is likely to be affected a smidge. First borns are a little old testament and souls are hard to obtain when the thing has you and not the other way around. Pffff. Tricky......... although...

I reckon throw in 7 or 8 desalination plants powered by geothermal if possible, if not then wind n sun n tide etc... and become the worlds fresh water supplier as they slowly poison themselves.
