    Stupid World

Students should be allowed to pay off their debts by selling a kidney, an academic said. (how long before this becomes a compulsory means of paying off your debts )

Earth 'could have had two moons' (what great minds we have... perhaps there were more than 2 ... In fact I reckon there were 4, because 2 just isn't enough to fit my model.)

Swede arrested for building nuclear reactor in kitchen (they took away his hobby and threw him in jail, poor sod.)

FTSE Loses £50bn As World Markets Tumble (priceless... the world and it's bankers confused and concerned over the unpredictability of the market and the potential for a double-dip recession... fuckin idiots)

Who said Academic where intellegent? Able to study in a sheltered environment (I almost wrote sheltered workshop) ... but function in the real world? Debatable.

What are kidneys worth these days? I've got one that isn't working too well and may sell it for a new bike and a hand job or two.

Sigh. That's based on the current available evidence.

Let's see your model. Then we can assess it's value.

But you know academics belong in a sheltered environment (I prefer sheltered workshop to) after all they came up with the human cause carbon emissions scam but still couldn't get their stories straight.

Use exactly the same evidence put forwards by the "specialists", and then substitute the 2 for a 4.

Did anyone ever see Into Iceland's Volcano? With the scientist (can get his name if need be) that stutters and stammers as he realises that their models are waaaaaaaaay too simple?

Anyhoo... if they can get an Earth based model wrong, one that has been studied using direct observation for decades. What makes you think they can accurately calculate how old the Earth is with any great certainty, let alone say there were only 2 moons and not 4? What is the margin of error, when you're talking about billions of years? Just saying is all. I stood on the shoulders of giants, and added 2.

Edit: it might not be as silly as it sounds. Nuclear "reactors" can occur naturally......

UK 'Is Worst Place To Live In Europe'... no... really

Feds: US man planned to blow up Pentagon... naughty boy... very nice planes though

US 'threat' of military action unites Pakistan... "The reaction shows the problem facing the United States as it presses Pakistan for action: Strong statements in Washington provoke a negative public response that makes it more difficult for the army to act against the militants — even if it decided it was in the country's interest to do so"... I hope that it's the Pakistani's deciding what is in the country's best interests.

    Quite a laugh. Geniuses.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.

Apparently the radioactive boy scout found a bottle of radium paint in the back of an old clock, which is where he obtained a lot of material. That and smoke detectors, he was busted for ripping some off again not that long ago IIRC. He convinced a company at one stage to send him a hundred (or was it a thousand?) for school science project for a dollar each

I can understand that particular hobby getting you in trouble though, his mothers and her neighbours houses all pushed the gieger counter right up!

Motorway Speed Limit Set To Rise To 80mph I "Commenting on the proposal, he said: "Drivers travelling that 10mph quicker might reach their destination sooner, but will use about 20% more fuel and emit 20% more CO2.

"There is also likely to be a slight increase in road casualties. And what about enforcement? If police follow existing guidelines, many people could do 90mph before action is taken." kinda says it all really.

Wait And See: Osborne Cautious On Tax Cuts "I'm a conservative who believes in lower taxes. They lead to a more enterprising economy."... Genius, it's worked before.......
