Hire a Limo to pick up Dave, Andre & Sheila.
Get as many KBers as possible and escort them home.

    Who's up for that?
    Or any other ideas?

your idea, so go set up a bank account, ring limo company an get some details,

What a fantastic idea VTwin!!! I'm so impressed and really happy at the amount of support shown here.

If the ride's at a suitable time, I'd quite like to tag along briefly. Might not ride on teh motorway yet though so I'd peel off early.

I'd like to think that if I was going home after a big smash - that a community of mates would escort me home. That's tops...he'll feel so much better knowing that everyone cares. Nothing like that to induce a person to get better! Yay for KB!!!

You know what I meant, the bike type of escort, not the silicon type.

Woah - I thought this was going to be secret. It'd be real cool if he didn't know. Perhaps you could delete this thread before Dave gets online, VTwin! Ummmm, (she says, trying to work out how to tell everyone when and where we meet, etc if there's no thread). I know - we could disguise it as a "ride" on a diff day, and everyone that posts that they're keen could be pm'd with the actual time and date. Up to you VTwin.

certainly not trying to put a dampener on the idea which I think is fantastic but my experience of trying to predict when someone is going to get out of hospital is that no one will say when until the last moment and then come back 5 minutes later and seem annoyed that you are still there taking up bed space. I am sure someone would notice 100 bikers loitering outside waiting

Good point. Maybe we'll just have to make it who ever can come at late notice, come, if that's all we can do eh. At least if someone warns the hosp staff in charge of Dave, they might be a bit more "prompt"/predictable.

    Great ideas guys n gals.

There was a letter in the Hutt news last night from Andre and Sheila, mainly giving thanks to all who helped Dave such as the paramedics and hospital staff. KB got a mention for it's support also.
