There's already 7 mechanical sub forums.

Having said that, the modified sub forums are always the ones I visit first when visiting a new forum.

There's been plenty of sub-forums that have died after a couple of months. So these days the people have to be there before the sub-forums.
They're only sub-forums, is it really the end of the world if there are a few dead ones lying around?

Six, then you have to sweep them up into a big pile and feed em to the pigs, they go through bone like butter.

ive been a lurker for a while, time to post.

I was registered on rattlers forum, but now that rattlers forum is no more it would be cool if there were a section on here to cater for the modified/custom stuff

Im a car guy but looking at pics and reading build threads on other internet forums about modified/custom road bikes (bobbers inparticular) is what got me interested in road bikes.

So anyway, what is the magic number? How many mod-type threads need to have been active in the last month, for a subforum to be worth it?

I think the thing is done & dusted :-)
If Kiwibiker had wanted to start a sub forum I would've directed the group over here but they didnt so we carried on with a new forum. I thought it was worthwhile asking, & I guess it always is, even if the opportunity isn't taken.
Never mind. Let the modding continue!

Surely no less than 2 a day, so 60 a month?

Thats heaps! The hawkforum only has about a dozen active ones, but they are generally updated ever few days.

Maybe not too bad... it would syphon off some custom related posts in the generic technical forums for a start.
