He takes a bunch of no hoper's and tries to make something of them by giving them a chance in his dream school - famous artists, historians, mathematicians and scientist all try to get them interested in using their brains. He was trying to prove it wasn´t the kids at fault but the poor teaching, schooling and social pressures. It was a failure, 95% of the kids couldn´t have given a shit.

all that proves is that kids are kids, and always have been. Stop measuring them using the Adult yard stick and you may be pleasantly surprised at their abilities.

And who votes for them? It seems for too many years people have habitually voted for the easy options and whomever was throwing the biggest bag of lollies at the electorate. We are ALL implicated, not just the politicians.
