Well, I'm still up north, just completed the Silver Fern rally. Got to play under a '74 RX-3 all week. Absolutely brilliant rally, traveled around 3000km in one of our service vehicles and a bit more in the other. 6 days of wondering how the fuck a 13B J-port (number 27) was still running...and reliably! Not a drop of oil or coolant went in to it, not even a set of plugs.

I've managed to inherit a beige Volvo 850 2.3, so I should be strolling along in that to go play with the bikes

I have been given a few offers to crew on some teams for the next season, apparently I was doing something right?

Sadly it never got any further (was in beginning of 2000 that this Beast was dreamed up). Had a Folan Swedish motor fitted. (Folan also produced the motors for Husaberg initially) I think Sachs now are focusing on Chinese scooters and electric bikes?

May the bridges I burn light the way.

Been a while eh guys? I'll finally be back home this weekend after being in Te Puke milking to moo cows.

Should be picking up a set of spare USDs for the beast (have been offered a brilliant deal I cannot refuse)
Got some new bits and bobs on the way from eGay, nothing special (Proper clutch cable and stuff)

I'll pick up some steel and go build a new subframe

    Then the big plan:
Re-phasing the cams so cyls 1 & 4 fire together, essentially giving me a wonky triple. Should have a bit more poke in the middle, I don't use the top end enough to get worried about the potential drop in power there

A wonky triple? Is that like when you've had a tipple?

I know I'm a negative prick, but you'd be much better off having the crank assembled to run cross plane.

You will gain the midrange you want that way, and the casings wont be taking massively increased forces on the one and four combined power stroke.
