    R1 problem help!

hey there people i've just got myself a gokart that has a 1998 Yzf-r1 strapped to the back of it...i'm having trouble trying to get it to run. It also requires etha or "start ya bastard" to get it going...When it's running it sounds like it is running lean and then it will come to a prompt holt...iv tested the fuel pump and the wiring is all tidied up so im stumped. is it a vacuum problem or what? I'm not sure. Any feed back will be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Have you heard that the motor was running right? If so, look at what has been changed since, if not, look at everything! does it still have the stock airbox on it? Sometimes pulling that off can cause issues.

Its clearly fucked, Ill do you a favour and swap you a box of piss for it. . .
start with the basics, look at your plugs, check all hoses etc to see if theyre degraded, make sure all the wires are plugged in, its probably something small and otherwise insignificant

If those things are mutually exclusive, I think I'd rather have the later

This is real important with the yammie engines, hard to get running properly if it's not there.
