Wellington motorcycle instructor - poor form!
NICK I'm absolutely disgusted to hear from a friend about the treatment they received from you.
Sadly I didn't get to them first and they ended up wasting money and time with you - I have suggested they demand a refund but the experience of you was sooo unpleasant they are prepared to just let it go rather than have to deal with you again..the family is broke too which really says quite a lot about how hideous you were to deal with!
I have since learned from several other people now that you are a bit 'like this' and that there are even bike shops that file your 'brochures' in the bin because they don't want to recommend to their customers. As far as I can tell the negative reputation is quite deserved.
Aside from the obvious lack of actual instructions....EG: this persons first instructions on how to corner a motorcycle involved you setting up a line of cones and saying "you just have to do it in 10 seconds, now GO"
That's pretty poor considering you expect people to 'pay you' for a service, in this case a 'learn to ride course', that you were not able to provide.
HOWEVER what really grinds my gears is the open rudeness and disrespectful attitude and demeanor you displayed towards my friend. Interestingly there were others on the same day who also didn't think much of your treatment of this person - god dammit how'd I get to know so many damn people (I digress).
Anyway I should congratulate you really - time with you almost completely put them off learning to ride at all and given how excited and keen they were not to mention how much they'd already forked out for all of their gear etc. well, you get the idea I'm sure. Bravo...NOT
I will from now on (as usual) be recommending to all the newbie riders I know that they go to ROADSAFE...now though, I also have a 'don't go to' name to share also
Andrew and Lyn are fantastic! Thankfully they have managed to restore my friends confidence in progressing on down the learning path and they spent today cornering, slow riding and all those things that REAL motorcycle instructors teach new motorcycle riders how to do.
Anyway - just spreading the word about this crap service...that's the great thing about choice, people don't have to put up with shit from jumped up wankers.
ALL business owners would do well to remember that bad reviews travel much much further than good ones. You know the research says that a good experience will be retold about 4 times but a bad one will be retold 15 times...with the power of the internets that number gets even bigger!
