I landed square on my left shoulder and not even a bruise on it the next day.

Armour IS EVERYTHING in a crash. $35?!?! WTF are you even asking for, protect your bones and skin with product you trust.

I personally have no problem with 1tonne gear as I have never tried it...heard some dodgy stuff but then I guess people have heard the same about other brands too. I have tried some of the bigger brands like REV-IT and Technics etc. I rate my Qmoto race suit higher than these two brands (based on my experience with them only) by its ability to crash well and its fit. Personally Quasi is a wanker but hey...there are only wankers and liers eh...at least we know Quasi doesn't lie!

Wooohooo ya's got a big one. I thought this was quite funny actually. Personally I thought it was pretty obvious sarcasm from Mr Q, I mean it was rather contradictory. Then again, this could be sarcasm...shit I'm confused now

Just a question though, what's with the "qausi"? Honest mistake or deliberate "stick it to him"?

1st- take a look around, use the search here and google everywhere else. u lack basics and need to understand what is really to look for and what is, simply, useless.

2nd- try both. you can read for days but if there's a stitch in the middle of your "low back" and you don't find it comfy, well, u'd find out too late...

3rd- i strongly disagree with the use of integrated bp. back protectors have to be "stand alone". no replies on that...

    then:

35$ is nothing. simply not a factor. if you're concerned about 35 dollars i'd have to warn you that motorcycling is an expensive hobby, and anyway while you're scratching on the ground you will regret any cent not spent on your gear.
    quickly:
hip protectors ARE important, sliders are not.
reflective inserts are smart, but i truly suggest you not to buy black gear, at least not on the upper half.
collar and wrist lining are critical, but you have to decide the use u'll do of your bike, and you have told us nothing about that.

last but not least, as i always say, consider to buy certified gear. it well worth it.
Totally agree, HIP PROTECTION IS VERY IMPORTANT (experience), and with everything else that was said. You will be hard pressed to find decent hip armour in any gear gear built in though. It really restricts movement, but protection shorts are a good compromise.

ARMOUR IS VERY IMPORTANT (experience). Unless you slide you WILL break bones where you don't have armour.

The only issue I have with my jacket, and it is actually irrelevant what it is, is that the arms are too short meaning it's not as comfy as it could be. You gotta be comfy in your gear.

Yip $35 is such a small amount it's even kinda weird mentioning it. You could almost negotiate to get that knocked off whatever you chose.

Yes Hip protection is important, no question, however if it was a standard addition to a suit it would not be a good seller as many are concerned about "the look" wide hips are not what people want (especially females) , we can put in foam, but foam isnt a protector, foam is foam and foam isnt CE approved in the hip or in the back.
If a customer has a concern about hips we up spec to include these, proper KNOX CE approved hip armour these will actually protect you properly.

    im going to regret this.

I do not have any experience of 1tonne.

Quasi gear is good for the price. (not the best gear out)

I'm not sure if shin armour is a hugely important, knee armour is where its at.

The foam padding dosen't do shit.

The most important thing is the fit, get the gear that fits the best.

Edit, one bad thing about qmoto, is the muppet who sells them.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

Quasi, I think you might need to take a step back and realise whist I am sure you make you gear to specifications you say are the best your gear does not suit everyone, its more race orientated than I personally want, (or would look appropriate wearing), some of the 1tonne gear would suit me better in appearance and functionality.

So far you have not yet sold me on the gear you provide, the only thing you have done is let me know how passionate you are about yours being the "best" but for what I am yet to determine, some folks have come to your defence and said things like my Quasi gear has survived x number of crashes, hmm yeap I want gear that lasts but not gear that attracts the mentality its cool to crash on the road, perhaps if you fan club would have said it last well on the racetrack.

I want gear for touring and everyday use, I ride the bike in all sorts of conditions, even occasionally snow, (bastard stuff), I want gear that is vented for summer and warm in winter, that has some degree of waterproof ability as you never know when you might get caught out in bad conditions, preferably repairable should the worst happen, and will last. What have you got?
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

I ride daily as its my only form of transport and on Sunday I was lucky enough to ride during a minor snow blizzard, I have a QRace Edge, I dont wear the thermal liner, and I have yet to get wet under it, I got a tad damn where the stretch panels are but I think this is to be expected from any supplier as its just the way things are, but I would tick off water proof, tick off warm, tick off comfort, Im yet to ride with it in Summer, so I cant comment on that side of things.
