    Back again (bluninja)

Aparently I joined the forum back in 2002...so I must be really old now. Been back in NZ just over a year and now looking to get a bike again.

Took my wife and kids down the forgotten highway in the car, that's when I really missed the bike...no passengers being sick

Perhaps will meet up with some of you when I'm back on 2 wheels.

Thanks for the welcome. Think I'm looking at a Suzuki 650 of some kind.

Been riding V-twins for the last 10 years so not sure I want to return to the dark side of revvy i4s (GSX650F). If I stay with tried and tested I'll have another SV650S, but I'm also looking at the Wee Strom. I saw a vid of one being ridden round the Nurburgring and all I was thinking was how much wind noise there was and how slow it seemed....so probably ideal for me.

ummm don't know if I should welcome you seeing you named my particular model as being the darkside OK its black, my gear is black and the helmet even has a pull down tinted visor, but the dark side, really? Makes a great communitor but looks as if you are looking for a bit more adventure in which case I must admit to having looked at both the SV and Wee Strom, also the DRs etc etc. Dreams, if only I had the money to match.

eek DL650 and I are parting

Well it's been good fun for the last 7.5 years but my wife has only been on the back 3 times in all this time and it's time to forget practicality and move to something different where there is no consideration for pillions. I've had singles, parallel twins, inline 4s, V-twins.....I guess it's time for a V4 just waiting to get a new 2018 Aprilia Tuono RSV4 Factory.

Still wondering whether to keep the weestrom...I can afford the deal without the px...but would I ever ride it with the Aprilia sat next to ti in the garage?

Sounds like you also need to make some room in your garage for a triple at some point!

My friend said; 'you don't have to ride it like that all the time'

    I'm not sure that's realistic
