Hi..
Can anyone tell me if there is a steel sleeve cast/molded into
the pivot berring holes ?... As theres a rusty steel sleeve that won't
move... So I'm wondering if its part of the arm or the outter race
of the needle berring....

hot air guns are cheap now. Often a vice can be used to press them out on split pivot swing arms such as this. You use a smaller socket or bush to push on the bush & put a bigger socket on the other side for the bush to exit into. then do thje vice up on this assembly. After heating the crap out of it. Vice needs to have enough extension with thread left in it to cope.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
Sorry guys.. yer missunderstand...
prob I didn't exsplain to well...
Getting the bits out is not the issue...
what I NEED to know is...
IS there a steel liner in the pivot holes
that dose not come out ?.. Or do the
needle berrings press straight into a alloy
hole with no steel liner.. If so then the
steel in there is the outter race of the
needle berrings...
If it is part of the old berring..i will remove it
in a mill with a boreing head..
pic posted should answer that. The needle rollers have a thin stainless steel folded outer & usually push into ally hole of SW. Not to say that Honda haven't made it a queer way.
