    SIDI Vertigo Mega Gore Boots
    Are these boots any good?
    Are they really worth $600?

SIDI Boots are excellent and well worth $600

It's not until you move away from SIDI that you realise just how good they are.

I have a pair of SIDI boots which are 20 years old and still waterproof. Best buy I ever made.

Sidi are damn good boots, my last pair were Sidi's and lasted me 5yrs. In fact they are still fine. But I just bought a pair of Alpinestars Supertech R's. Oh my freaking god, hands down the best boots I've worn. They have a separate inner 'bio-mechanical' bootie that supports your ankle etc but sits independent of the outer boot, meaning you can actually walk in them like normal boots yet they offer fantastic protection. Not cheap at $800, but for the fact they'll no doubt last me another 5yrs that's only $160 per year for top notch protection and comfort.

Actually as I bought mine in Oz they owe me $450, so make that $90 per year. $45 per foot.

Although a bit fiddly to put on/off so I use them for the longer (or faster) trips.

I also keep my 9-year-old pair of Sidi Vertebra for the 10-minute trips.
