For his 40th, I offered my husband a static line jump voucher. Me thought: what better way to say " I love you" than by kicking him out of a plane?
It backfired when he upgraded himself to the "all by myself like a big boy" option.
The look on his face upon landing was awesome: grin from ear to ear.
I was the one who was as nervous as hell.
I find that while my kids are little, I get super careful and nervous. Part of the reason I am not riding much these days. I was like that when my son was little, then I gradually relaxed when he got around 6-7.
For now, my wee girl being only 3, I'm still on high alert and unable to throw myself/ us in the path of danger without turning into a nervous wreck. It isn't worth it as I'm not enjoying it and I am likely more dangerous for lacking confidence and overeacting.
Tis just a matter of time
