That is how the three died recently. just short of an edge they could have flown over. one was 10m short the others 3m I think.

A photo of the top of the Burg Khalifa.
The "tube" that the top section is constructed of, is only wide enough for a person to climb up a ladder inside, so I'm guessing a diameter of 1m?
On top of that they have managed to put the aluminium launch platform... somehow attached! Bloody good work to all involved!

Well I have not got my head around jumping out of a perfectly good aircraft.
And just simply jumping of a mountain well...

I suppose if it scares you silly and you survive, all well and good.

It seems the base jumpers in the flying suits are on a countdown to certain death... eventually.
How many jumps has the most experienced and still alive person had, been doing it for how many years for instance.
I don't think its brave, just plain stupid.

Well, i'm gonna risk it and claim the most jumps on Kiwibiker.
Slightly over 6000 out of aircraft. But only 19 from bridge/cliffs.
200+ wingsuit flights (none off a cliff, yet!)
    and 1 cliff-strike.

To answer your question more specifically, some friends of mine have well over a thousand jumps off cliffs and they're still at it.

    Herculean effort.

Crikey a cliff strike and still reporting on it too!

Yeah, im certainly in the lucky gang there.
Still bust my pelvis, femur, elbow and eye socket but mostly healed up. Just lugging a bit of hardware around and sporting the odd scar here n there.
Shame my camera was smashed off and my memory is completely gone of the strike itself.
7 days of surgery and another week of morphine will do that i suppose!

And yet you ride a bike, now that is stupid.

Everyone is on a countdown to certain death by the way so you should enjoy your limited time here. I would recommend you try a tandem to see if that changes your point of view.

Just wait until the next Jetman videos are released. Northern summer has been VERY productive...

    "That was crazy." Today's understatement.
