Thumbs up New and Intermediate Riders, Spring-Summer rides in Taranaki

Hi guys just gauging some interest, as there appears to be no organised Naki riders!

I am thinking as Spring is not far off and people will soon be dusting off their bikes. (or like me) itching to get back out on the roads in our beautiful land. Time frame is to start up in September when the weather improves and ride out our beautiful summer.

I'm thinking a weekly or bi-weekly around the mountain blast or anywhere else people want to go, have a coffee, talk about bikes, riding etc..
I'm happy to look at a day and time that suits people best.

I am fairly new to the region and therefore a bit unfamiliar with the roads, but i plan on getting familiar pretty quick.

I wouldn't consider myself incredibly experienced, so rides would suit beginners, chilled out veterans and just anyone who wants an excuse to to go for a ride.

Drop me a PM, post here, send a pigeon, howl at the moon.. or whatever!

What are you saying? That people in the Naki are disorganised?

I get my bike on Friday, so I'll be up for a few rides. Don't know the roads very well yet as I haven't had a bike since I've been here, but I'm looking forward to riding the road down to whangamomona again.

There's plenty of rides in the Naki!
From the start of daylight saving every 2nd thursday at 6pm from Energy Honda Gill St.
Malcolm White has rides leaving Caltex Elliot St at 6pm. I will let you know when the first one is as it is via txt message a few days prior.
Northwest have sunday rides ........ etc and that's only some.

If you want a specific type of ride organized that can be arranged - learners 250 etc.

    Excellent!

Thanks Lads, sounds like a good thing.

I knew there had to be some rides going on, i wasn't implying complete disorganisation, maybe just obscurity! I searched this forum and didn't find anything in the Naki.

Just looking to catch some rides as the weather improves. Ill no doubt be out and about anyway. I have a full licence but got a 250 until my skills improve, been nearly a year since my last bike.

Thanks nadroj, id be keen! Just got to get my bike wof and rego in the next month and ill be in!
