I guess if you took it up to the ISS and pushed it out so it spent the next year in a decaying orbit, you would need that level of data transmission. Seems unlikely though

True enough but in all honesty other than the standard suspension, there isn't much else that can be improved with these bikes.

As Henry says a mods a mods and I've seen a lot of examples of people going nuts with the credit card and ending up with something comparable to a tart's handbag

And the first post does say bolt on parts, or fabrication. My preference is for the later, but you can still get plenty of individuality with just bolt on parts, and a good painter. And as HDC said, bolt on is a lot more accessible, maybe it's even 'gateway' modding!

Agree, But when they have done a great job sourcing the best parts and "modifying" them to fit or look better etc like short-circuit has done....it IS a Mod in my book.(credit card mod...yes, But still takes time and appriciation for ones ride to do so properly....don't ya think?)

"Now if you had to take to it with a file because it doesn't fit correctly straight out of the box"
.....You mean some of these parts actually fit out of the box!?! (LIES!!)....hell I can't even get orginal Guzzi parts that do that! .....hence I "modify" (But I will NEVER rebuild a Guzzi wiring loom again!...tis my limit...now)

But what a great Idea for a thread/section imdying, I would live in this section most days just to learn some new tricks n tips, theres always someone out there with a better idea or new way of doing something thats better than norm.

...bring on the MODS! (credit card or other wise!....as long as there good!)

Not exactly today but I have done some added extras to my bike, some bolt on some a little more complicated,
I have added air horns to my bike, including finding a home for the compressor,
added LED accent lights which are remote activated,
Changed the original stock exhaust system for a full stainless race system and some other wee bits and bobs
I have photos and that here somewhere but the LED's and Horns are temporary as I have new fairings here that are waiting for paint and a tail unit before they go on, so the airhorns will be relocated to the front cowl, its a suzuka cowl with a single headlight so the other headlight comes off, im planning on using the added space for the horns.

Am working out how to integrate that function into the tip sensor just encase I’m having a nap in a ditch…
Solo riding, I love it but it has drawbacks…
    how does this work? pics?

    Hmmm... lets see...

On one rubbish bin I have:

*Repainted with custom tank logos (Photoshopped image, printed to auto vinyl)
*Modified handlebars, to fit 1" ISO grips
    *Stilleto grip ends
*Drilled and counter sunk mirror mounts, machined bushings to fit, mounted a set of V-twin Performance mirrors
*Welded, machined, painted, heat wrapped all parts for custom exhaust
*Further modified exhaust when it was too loud - 4" long drag pipe baffles with stainless baffle wrap
*Under tank red LEDs, running a fuse and hidden switch
    *Reshaped and recovered seats
*Refined Cycles forward controls modified to fit and mounted
*Modified front fender, with stainless spikes
*Black crinkle painted cylinder heads, with edges of fins masked off
*Modified aftermarket headlight (currently not on, more mods needed for durability sake)

    Other rubbish bin

*16" ape hangers replacing stock bars
*Custom handmade stainless cables with nylon inners
*Modified Harley fender, cut and hand beaten to fit
*Handmade seat pan, welded brackets, hand covered with PVC leather look vinyl, eyeletted and hand laced
    *Modified exhaust (still in progress)
*Handmade rear fender struts (still in progress)
*Stock clutch and shifter peg removed, suicide shifter welded, machined, mounted with clutch lever on the shifter (still in progress)

Attracted a loose nut between the handle bars and the seat.
Re-routed coolant pipes and brake reservoir, put the loom in and a few other bits and bobs.
