    Fixing fairings, would this work?

I'm looking to fix up some fairings myself (for a race bike, so the finish doesn't have to be perfect)
Some of of the damage is just cracks, others is chunks missing

    I'm thinking:
    - Pick up one of these Fibreglass repair kits
-Clean up and sand down damaged panel as best as I can
-fibreglass the inside of the damaged section
-bog over outside to smooth (filling in any chunks missing)
    -sand down paint up

Yip,That sounds about right,Could probably do it cheaper by going to your local fibreglass laminater and buying the stuff off them,Good luck.

If they're plastic fairings, give anywhere you want to bond to with resin a good sanding from some suitable vicious sandpaper. Or even consider drilling it a little (not all the way through) to give some nice undulations etc for the resin to stick into. Unless somebody has a better plan?

Take it to a plastic welder and get the real deal for $100. Just like new when your finished!
