    Question DO YOU DONATE BLOOD?

Just read the update on Stone Chucker and it mentioned he is having a blood transfusion.
I was wondering how many of us actually donate blood. I started myself a few months ago. I had been meaning to do it for ages, but didn't get my bum in to gear.
With what happened to S.C, maybe that will prompt others to think about it. Each donation can help up to three people.
Not everyone can donate as there are several criteria to be met.

I always do when I am not sick/not meet the criteria

Edit: actually I remeber I am not eligible to donate anymore

Works two ways, when you wake up in the morning you feel the bee's knees - and it can help someones life - the question is, why not even try give blood (within reason) :S?

I used to in Pomland, but I'm not allowed to here. Comes of growing up around all those mad cows.
Remember to never split an infinitive. The passive voice should never be used. Do not put statements in the negative form. Proofread carefully to see if you words out. And don't start a sentence with a conjugation. (William Safire)

Technically I'm not allowed to ever.

I also don't see a law change being done any time soon to fix that.

I know the deal, I really should because it is part of my work and all but.. I can't.

    Arrow Well.

From one who has allready had another person's blood, yea I will be quite prepared. However they won't allow me to...

Used to, and still would if they would allow me. But because I hail from the UK, I've been designated a mad coobeastie or something.

I'd love to but can't. Too much insulin in my bloodstream apparently.

    Damn Type I diabetes.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I always did...but after some years in UK they no longer let me.
Seems like they are missing out on an awful lot of good blood because of that. They need to get a test real quick that can detect Mad Cow.
