That clarifies things further. Yes, the rule to coming out of a terminating Rd, (eg a T intersection) is changing to sometning much more logical.

We always could, the only change there is we can now use their light signals too (the white 'B') which makes sense as previous we could be in their lane but not use their light which means if they were stuck behind us they were stuck until the regular 'green' light went

Well i didn't know that. mind you i only ever had need for the transit lane coming onto the motorway, other than that i am generally in the cage.

left turn waits for right turn so the right turners don't hold up the straight through on their side, if theres straight through on the left turn side the left turns go round when they come through.
The left turners can always pull into the kerb & wait the right turners are stuck in the middle of the lane waiting holding up traffic

This is the only intelligent thing coming out of this rule change isn't it??? They're finally making it how it always should have been, the vehicle entering the road has to give way to the one turning off it.

They haven't been around here lately, in fact its so bad you cant rely on stationary traffic staying stationary on their red or that you will get through an intersection from the front row in two light phases, the sheeple just don't stop.

it's a pity, i clearly understood the meaning of the rule, and it seemed fine to me.
(even if i never drove down there, so i actually donno if it was practically convenient...)

i believe that all around the world governments are making the same mistake: the problem is not usually a particular "rule" by itself, it's much more frequently the bunch of people that has a license in its pocket and should not....

in italy i'd roughly cut that number in half (simply designing a proper licensing examination), but who is the politician that could do something like that?
