    Miniature sheep in the city?

Is it legal to have a miniature sheep as a pet in Auckland?

I'm sick of mowing the lawn.

And if I get sick of the sheep I have a roast.

Where can you get miniature sheep? I want a couple for my semi-rural property. Only option I have seen is to import from Aussie . (Miniature sheep actually 'babydoll' english breed)

Sorry mate I don't have a supplier. Was just thinking "hey a miniature sheep would be cool", googled it and saw they exist.

Can you keep a normal sheep as a pet in urban environs?

I want to be there when you pick up a Sheep named "Babydoll" from the airport. Please let me know when you plan to do this.

Ring your local Council. They will tell you what livestock are permitted on your property.

A couple of friends up the coast, in suburbia, kept a couple of sheep. Chucked them in the paddock and promptly got rid of them after a few weeks as the place was completely covered in shite.

People are allowed to keep pigs n'est pas?
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

Miniature sheep are often referred to as "lambs". Get a couple of those, and if they start to get too big simply eat them and get some more.

Failing that, get some chickens. They fuck lawns.

Get a goat. You'll only need one, and the damn thing will keep them nice and trimmed. Forever.

'Cause you would have paid someone $3000 for one.

They're not new, in fact they're an ancient Southdown.

This is so true, I have one in my meadow and the amount of shit is unreal, and thats just one. He does have a lot of character, and is a lot smarter than many would guess, not to mention a surprisingly good memory!
