Seen today...no wonder there's a road toll...

Pootling along the Raglan road at about 7.45am this morning, heading west. There's a steady stream of commuter traffic heading east towards the city - i.e. normal conditions.

Ahead there's a right hand corner (for me - left for the commuter stream). As I approach I see a Subaru wagon start to drift across the centre line onto my side of the road - no panic, I'm still a long way from the corner. I watch with interest as the driver appears from behind the car in front.

Some woman. Busily fucking around with her hair in the rear view mirror FFS...

When she's about half a car on the wrong side of the line she wakes up and swerves back onto her side of the road.

I could see the gritted teeth, white knuckles and staring eyes of the driver behind her as I passed. I think he might have shit his pants from the look on his face. Kinda -ish.

I notice that quite a few of the regulars on that road pull way left when I come up behind them..."Ah fuck - it's that fucking incompetent loony on the orange bike again - get outa the way, quick!"

I - I - I never thought of that . Shit! How embarrassing...I am bad BAD BAD! Next time I'll just ride off the side of the road into the ditch so she is not inconvenienced at all. Then I'll apologise for spraying dirt onto the road as well...and probably go to jail for same.
