I had to go back to the doctors for a further medical certificate for work. I am fit and ready so am wanting to go back full time as of next week. The next question is when can I start driving again. It is all very well getting driven around everywhere but the loss of independance really bites, and I have had enough of it.
I have been excercising hard out to regain movement in my ankle and am really happy with where it is at. Turns out the doctor is really happy too, so I have a full clearance to start driving again and can start back at work full time next week. Only rules are...
Wear proper supportive shoes to drive, and put the boot back on when I get to work to walk around in. I have been told to take it easy too
High friggen five! I am mobile once again. All I have to do now is get my bike boot back on and build up some muscle tone and I will be riding once again![]()

Well she drove off this morning for the first time since ages ago...
The smile could be clearly seen though the tinted glass..
Independence day has arrived...though the moonboot is still a requirement..![]()
Feel like a fraud coming into this thread Sooooooooo late, but hey. Mom, it never rains but it pours aye, but as usual you've simply gotten up and given it an upper cut, well done on the rehab and getting back out there. Now get back on da Millie asap. K.
Every day above ground is a good day!:
I tell ya, my bike riding is very, very sadly missed. I can at least drive the poxy car now, though even that proved a challenge the other day in the shittly, city traffic. I simply need to build more strength so I can sustain the throttle a little bit then brake, then throttle then brake, over and over and over again all the while busting a boil to get up the outside and filter
Another X-ray today. Apparently ankles are very, very slow to heal. Nearly 11 weeks and still the fracture is clearly visible. There is however some healing happening, albeit slowly. So I still have to take it easy...
Wonder when I can get a clearance to ride![]()
