Hi all, I'm new to Kiwibiker and roadbikes in general. I recently got the urge to get my licence and hit the roads and now here I am. I do have some riding experience cruising around on the farm and dirty gravel back roads, beach etc in my younger days but that was 15 years ago now.

First of all thank you to the people who contribute to this site. I've spent a large amount of time on here researching the general noob questions - which bike, what gear, lessons for noob riders and without your input I would be far less informed and all the poorer for it. Some of the more common advice I have not taken (First bike = FZR 250; not a gn, hyobag or scorpio) but hey I've read the information made my own decision and will just have to deal any hopefully not too expensive consequences.

Secondly thanks Quasie for giving me a great deal on my leather jacket it's much appreciated and I'll definitely be in touch for some pants when the shipment arrives.
