Don't sweat the road works too much, as MarkW says you cannot get away from them. (That's why he rides a trailie methinks) Good observation & plenty of space between riders to avoid chipping....
If it's any consolation a mate has too ride 2k's of particularly nasty gravel on his Fireblade before he even sees tarmac....
What a shit sleep, Wankers next door thought it would be good to have a party (which is all good, didn't really hear them) until at 2:45am on the road at the top of there driveway and outside my house (my room is right at the front of the house) they decide it would be a fucking great idea to let off fireworks! FUCKING AWESOME
Bloody fireworks, thank god the locals decided to finish at 10ish,the organised fireworks sound impressive. At least the sales are only a couple of days prior to 5th nov,not weeks as before.
Hello officer put it on my tab
Don't steal the government hates competition.
"Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin (1706-90)
"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending to much liberty than those attending too small a degree of it." - Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)
"Motorcycling is not inherently dangerous. It is, however, EXTREMELY unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence and stupidity!" - Anonymous
"Live to Ride, Ride to Live"
If you bring it on the day it would probably be easier, can't ride out to come get it because I hit a bloody huge slick of diesel mid corner, half tilt. Back end slid out faster than you could say "damn truckies" and now i need a new RH clip on and throttle housing. Leathers did a good job though, only a couple of worn through spots and a nice patch of raw skin on my knee where the air vent moved whilst sliding.
Here's hoping I can get the piece before the ride!!

Any progress with Mom, Maha? Really hope she's feeling at least a little bit better...
1990 CBR250RR - fully rebuilt and awesome!
1999 CBR900RR - a work in progress...
I am home. It feels wonderful. I am once again totally impressed by the health system in this country, from the wonderful Paramedics that came to pick me up from work, to the ED staff, to the Doctors and the Nurses on the wards.
Sorry to give everyone such a fright, though if it helps I managed to scare the shit out of myself fairly well, I dont think I have ever been that worried about myself before. Paramedics are nothing short of amazing. From the first comment "dont need to ask who the patient is" to the last comment "I almost cant tell where you are, you are the same colour as your dress all over now" to the double large lines of fluid being pumped into me. Having your blood pressure in your boots like that is not very plesant at all.
Still I have survived. It will take a few weeks for the results to come through, but mean time life goes on.
Thanks for all the wonderful good wishes too, made all the difference![]()
