I am an "old lady" you know. Was actually General Medicine, with a lot of lovely oldies that needed help with broken bones, infected leg ulcers and complete doo-lallyness. Ear plugs FTW! I only used them last night in desparation of a need of a decent sleep.

I have actually written a synopsis for a one act play based on my hospital stay this time. Along with my own life experiences, this is a story I want to share. It has characterisations, and many notes of behaviours I want to share. I will beef it out a bit over the next little while and see if I can get it to a pre production stage. It is called "Clinical Notes" and it is a celebration of mothers and how important they are, and how we need to appreciate them while they are vital, nuture them when they are not, and remember them with love when they are gone.

Have to agree there,and add my dad to that as well,appreciate them both,along with brother and my girls.Great to see you can at least get to work and able to do so,assuming docs say it is ok lol.

One thing i see in that photo, you have the bag on the back of the rack. You will find the bike a lot more stable, if you turn the bag around and having it sitting on the pillion seat (if you have not done this previously).

Just go up to your highest gear and stay there. Lower rev's = less fuel

How heavy does the pack have to be for this? I haven't done a decent load test on mine, but sofar haven't noticed any difference

More so on lighter bikes, if you do happen to load it up and have it hanging out the back, it can feel like towing a trailer.
A loaded pack is better suited over the rear wheel/axle, not beyond it.

Oh and we are going up to the caravan this weekend.

I agree. Hate mine with the bag on the rack at speed. Like a parachute. But will have to use it for the trip. Cant have it on backwards as I cant get on/off the bike.
