I wont accept ''the may come on the ride'' this time, gets a little embarrassing for catering/accom purposes when I say that X amount is coming, only to have 5-6 pull the pin days before the ride.
To put it prospective, If that were to happen on this ride, it could be a loss of about $1000 to the San Marino.
The San Marino sleeps about 20, 24 at a push plus tents (I will get that confirmed later via email) and the they need the beds full at the price we are paying.

There are some that don't see the ride till late anyway, and by then it is normally full, I have had in the past a waiting list of 3-4. But it always is a bit late for some to organise a Friday off at short notice when someone decides ''they now can't or don't wont to or something has come up''.
Any non KBer wanting to come can logon and ask the question. These rides are primarily for KBers, learners and those who like the tour pace.

But your sleep space here (and there) is safe Doug (so far they have four bookings)

I have just spoken to Debbie at the San Marino to clarify a few things. The new manager (Nari) takes over September 5th so any further bookings can be made after that date. Which is about the time of the new thread.
The $180 gets you a bed in a unit and meals, if you are single, you will be sharing or you pay $360. But the instructions are that all available beds to have someone in it.
To keep the price at what it is, they need to fill all the beds, plus a few tents.

A couple of points in an Email from Debbie...easier for me to just copy/paste.

'' I am here until Friday morning 30th, so if there are people to book, please get them to ring or email me tonight or tomorrow - if possible. I will tell the new lady who is managing the motel what is happening, but it would be easier for her, if people get hold of me tonight''.

'' If the weather is not fine, would the guests prefer Nari to cook a big lasagne and do salads etc instaed of a BBQ ?? She is good with that.''
