What my learned trashy friend is eluding to is that 9 is a colder plug than an 8, at least in NGK brand.

[edit OP has now pointed that out, did you know that originally? why would you want to go to a hotter plug?]

Asked a local Kawasaki Mech and he suggested a hotter plug. didnt know why and wanted to crosscheck. ill stick with the 9's.
