And there's a bunch of Auckanders willing to help out as well.

Look at Western Springs Speedway - they're now limited to how many events they run a year, but they're still going (admittedly haven't been for a couple of years as never realise it's on until too late).

Too tired to type much more (thank god), but will post some of the complaints we've heard over the years from various people. It ain't all good.

Steve and co, do yell out if we can help in any way, otherwise we'll not do anything as would not like to stuff things up for you. We love Roy's Hill and hope we'll be back there in December for the NI round.

Taupo has a similar problem, the house across the road from the corner that leads onto the long straight/drag strip.

Im testing(for noise to complete a RC) at the proposed new mx track which is about 500m-1km away from where the kart track this saturday morning. They need atleast 40 mx bikes there to do the test and I'll get some much need practice in, so should be interesting to hear the outcome of that.

The RMA is actually a good document but when it is used like this it is royal Bitch.

Hmurphy all the points you make are valid but irealivant at the end of the day. There are really only two options, follow the rules as set out in the district plan or get the rules changed. The latter takes time money and resources

Western springs will move. One way or another the Council will make it happen. Just remember the name Colin Dale Park.

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

What a bummer. Believe it or not similar sort of stuff has gone on about Wgtn airport and the times planes can fly and the noise level from drinking establishments noise levels after people brought non-sound proofed apartments. Don't get me wrong I'm all for people's right to enjoy where they live but I would have thought such noise "issues" would be covered by buyer beware and they should be given a verbal kick up the daisy and sent off with a free pair of air muffs.
Yes 4 strokes are for homos. Homo-sapiens that is, who have realized bigger is better.

Very sorry but this weekend at Roys Hill, Hastings has been cancelled.

A local complaint to Council has made this venue unavailable this weekend.

The complaint relates to noise in relation to motorcycles.

Motorcycles are not covered in the permitted activities at the track.

Hopefully we can resolve this quickly and get back to racing.

The Kart Club is working with us to help resolve the issues.

Please remain calm and take the opportunity to spend time with friends and family during these stressful and traumatic times.

Pity you couldn't find out where they live and put a dog turd in a flaming bag on their door step and ring the door bell.

Yeah because that would really get them on side

Good luck with that. Made some enquiries and if it is the person my informant suspects, he could be a whinging immigrant with bags of money who would delight in stuffing things up for us. I am told he has, or has had motorcycles and hot cars himself, but was kicked out a local club ( not ours ) for shit stirring and whinging and moaning and being a general pain in the arse. Export these people I say, especially when it is our country, not theirs.

At a guess (my interpretation) she is trying to say "we should lend the complainer a bucket, so that he/she sees how much fun we're having and maybe he/she might withdraw the complaint and we can all go on as normal. But if we lend the complainer Koba's EN125, we've got shit show in hell of that being accomplished".

This is only my interpretation, Girrlracer may have meant something else entirely. (Michelle)

It's a good approach if you want to hurt them though...

Do we have to pay for exporting them? Or is it totally unlike deporting?
A 10c bullet would be cheaper if we have to pay, but if they're paying to get rid of themselves, it's all good.

Is it too late, now that the people in power have been made aware that motorcycles are not part of the terms of usage of the circuit.

This needs to looked into at all Bucket tracks in nz. And hopefully changed. Could really screw us all up.

Thanks for all the support, lets hope justice, common sense and a fair play see us back at the track real soon. The kart club is fully supportive of our events and as has been mentioned are keen for the extra revenue our meeting create.

At the very least we can apply (or so I understand) for a one off event for the December meeting to cover the last North Island round.
