    Go Pro sticky mounts?

Anybody know where the best deal is for more self adhesive mounts? Best I can find is $45 for 5 which is a tad steep.

buy them directly from the gopro website, about $20US for 5 I think. plus whatever postage is, but surely that wont be much.

Thats probably the cheapest place you get them I imagine

    LOL!

Yeah I bought a gopro back from the states for a mate, and i got a whole heap of extra flat and curved mounts, as well as extra brackets and bits and pieces at the same time.

Ithink I heard that you could buy the sticky pads seperately, i.e. without the plastic attachment. seeing as they can be removed fromthe bike with a little bit of heat, it makes sense, it might be possible to just get the double sided sticky pads alot cheaper, worth a look!

here you go, the adhesive double sided tape on the mounts is called 3M VHB 4991.
you can by it by the roll, and recycle the plastic mounts.

not sure where sells it, but I imagine any decent 3M stockist such as warehouse stationary etc should be able to order in a few rolls for you.

I have sent 3M an e-mail. Thank you. Good idea. A few rolls might be a bit excessive though..

apart from retirement, probably not a silly idea, as it looks to come in 3 metre rolls. im sure there are others out there who would like to recycle their mounts and try new angles
