Yeah I bought a gopro back from the states for a mate, and i got a whole heap of extra flat and curved mounts, as well as extra brackets and bits and pieces at the same time.

Ithink I heard that you could buy the sticky pads seperately, i.e. without the plastic attachment. seeing as they can be removed fromthe bike with a little bit of heat, it makes sense, it might be possible to just get the double sided sticky pads alot cheaper, worth a look!
Buy a 3m roll of super adhesive 3m tape, and cut to size/shape.
Use a hair dryer to get the sticky stuff off.
    Sorted forever.

The site told me $80. Even $12 would make it more expensive than the ebay ones....

    IF your a game cunt,
you could tie off the GoPro and put down some 3m dual lock, then you can on and off it.. dunno if it would hold though

I've used a 3M product called Exterior mounting tape. Double sided, foam centre, sticks like the proverbial to a blanket. Available from Glue Guru stores - can't remember how much I paid because I bought it yonks ago but just over 20 bucks I think. I'm certain that's what GoPro use on the mounts.

That's who quoted me for the vhb 4991.

All said & done I'm going to try & source bags of mounts from the US. Friends of friends on holiday kind of thing.

Trying to get the existing mounts off is a nightmare & trying to get the tape off the mounts themselves is even worse.

Plan B is a multi purpose RAM mount..
