    Stupidity, or just bad luck?

When you see news reports like this one ...

    http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/top-sto...-from-bicycle/

    I just wonder .... it's obviously not funny ... but ...

Perhaps an increase in ACC levies for cyclists ... OH WAIT ...

Your thoughts please ... because I sure can"t figure out ...

"Police were still investigating the matter but believed alcohol may have contributed to the accident."

I've chipped a few about that - and get told I'm just being picky!

The ones that get me are the drongos that hang a perfectly good helmet from the handle-bars....wtf..are they that sharp in the reflexes that they can scoop up the helmet and strap it on as they cart-wheel through the air after hitting a parked trailer or similar????

    Yup, same as a car.

But really the fact she was riding a bicycle is irrelevant. At least on a bicycle she only killed herself.

I'd cause it an unfortunate accident.

A friend of mine died falling off his bike, with his helmet hanging on his handlebars.

Another friend of mine died after falling off the back of a ute and landing on his head.

Short answer is that it's unlucky to land on your head.

I'd 20x much rather people bicycle after drinking rather than getting in a car.
